Mrs. Verniece Duchesne Breland Horton 90, was born on September 26, 1917, passed away on November 7, 2007, at St. Francis North Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ellis C. Breland and Lonnie Horton and her daughter, Judy Breland Turnage.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Breland Fruge and husband George of Alexandria, LA; sons, Ellis C. Breland of Represa, CA; Gary Breland and wife Cynthia of Monroe, LA; sisters, Mackie Fitch of Monroe, LA; and Betty Thompson of Chattanooga, TN; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
At her request, her body was donated to the LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport for the advancement of medical education and research. The family extends special thanks to the staff of 5th floor of St. Francis North, Patients Choice Hospice, Dr. Anders and Dr. Yount.
