Mrs. Etta M. Hartley, 86, R.R.4, Hartford City, widow of William J. Hartley, died Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Monroe Brown, 1609 Burlington Dr. She had been ill for nine months. A native of Needmoore, Henry County, Mrs. Hartley resided in Delaware County 59 years and in Blackford County 20 years. She was a member of South Side Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mark Curry, Blackford County, Mrs. Rufus Gray and Mrs. William A. Campbell, both of Muncie; two sons, Charles and Harry Hartley, Muncie; 24 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mary Harlan, Wilkinson, and a brother, William Craig, Muncie.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at South Side Church of the Nazarene, the Rev. Donald E. Snow and the Rev. Everett Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Rufus Gray, 1532 W. Memorial Dr., after 7 p.m. Saturday. Parson Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements.
