Pittsboro: Mrs. Jerry Scott Dies
Mary E. Scott, widow of Jerry Scott, died near midnight last Friday, following a long illness. Her husband preceded her April 24, and a few days later, a son, Wilbur. She was born July 11, 1859 and was the mother of nine children. She is survived by six daughters, one son and one sister. Funeral services were held at the late home on School street, Sunday morning, with Rev. McCammack of Cloverdale, in charge. Burial was in the Lizton K. of P. cemetery.
