Mrs. Ursa M. Layton died, last Thursday, in the Hendricks County Hospital. She was taken there for treatment and suffered a fatal heart attack at the age of 81.
A lifetime resident of the Pittsboro community, she was a
member of the Concord Baptist Church.
Services were Sunday afternoon from the Gregory Funeral home in Pittsboro with Elder Gilbert McCammack officiating. Burial was in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery.
Survivors include the husband, Forrest Layton; two children, Mrs. Joy Deatly, Brownsburg, and Mrs. Annis Mitchell, Pittsboro; a grandson, Monty Mitchell; four sisters, Mrs. Clellia Eldridge and Mrs. Cordia Merritt, both of Pittsboro; Mrs. Ova Moore and Mrs. Dessie Pearcy, both of Lebanon.
