Funeral services for Mrs. Elmer G.(Anna) Haglund, 63 year old Maiden Rock woman, will be held this afternoon (Thursday, July 14 ) at two o'clock at the Sabylund Luth. Church at Lund, with the Rev. T.H. Albrecht of Lake City officiating. Interment will be in the New Sabylund Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marvin Freiheit, Leonard Haglund, Wm. Heitman, Roger Olson, LaVerne White; and Robert Wisen. Mrs.Haglund passed away suddenly at her home on Sunday morning (July 10).
She was born on March 29, 1903 in Lake City, Minnesota, the daughter of Wm, and Theresa Eggenberger. She was baptized and confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City and attended the Lake City schools.
On February 12, 1921, she was married in Wabasha, Minn. to Elmer G. Haglund. She was a member of the Maiden Rock Town and Country Club. She is survived by her husband , six sons, Wm. of Stockholm, Eugene of Spenard, Alaska, Donald of Anchorage, Alaska, Charles of St Paul, Dennis, of Maiden Rock, and Dean of Ellsworth; five daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Dorothy) Brittle, Chatham, New Jersey, Mrs. Michael (Marvel) Zullo of Wilmette, Ill., Mrs. Everend (Marcella) Thorne of Red Wing, Mrs. Ronald, (Brenda) Anderson of Rochester, Minnesota, and Cheryl, of Maiden Rock ; one brother, William Eggenberger: of St.Paul, two sisters, Mrs. Chester (Elsie) Wisen of St·Paul, Mrs. Edwin (Marian) Heitman of Red Wing; twenty eight; grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one, son, Rodrick, one brother and one sister.
