Eugene Edwin Haglund, Age 78 of Maiden Rock, died at home on May 2, 2008. He was born December 30, 1929 in Lake City, Minnesota to Elmer and Anna (Eggenberger) Haglund. Eugene served in the Air Force from 1950 – 1953. Eugene enjoyed fishing, painting, dry walling, wood working, draft horses, watching westerns (THE Ultimate John Wayne Fan), wrestling, cooking, baking, gardening, canning, yard work, cutting lawn, singing, dancing, his pets, shopping, attending auctions, being the REAL Santa Clause, and, most importantly spending time with family and friends. Eugene is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Anna Haglund; brother, Bob (Laurel) Haglund and infant brother Rodrick Haglund. He is survived by his wife, Cita Pichler; son, Neal Haglund of Anchorage, Alaska; daughters, Pamm Haglund and husband, Joe Kwasinski of Littleton, Colorado and Sandie Kopp and husband, Scott of Maiden Rock, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Travis and Marcy Kopp; brothers and sisters, Dorothy (Harvey) Brittle of Jacksonville, Florida, Marvel (Michael) Zullo of Wilmette, Illinois, Sally (Orlando) Thorne of Plum City, Wisconsin, Don (Nancy) Haglund of Anchorage, Alaska, Chuck (Marie) Haglund of St. Paul, Minnesota, Dean Haglund of Plum City, Wisconsin, Denny (Carol) Haglund, Sr. of Plum City, Wisconsin, Brenda (Ronald) Anderson of White Bear lake, Minnesota, and Cheryl (James) Loeffler of St. Paul, Minnesota; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Sabylund Lutheran Church in Lund, Wisconsin. Visitation will held on Monday, May 5, 2008 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Bakken Young Funeral Home in Maiden Rock, Wisconsin. Interment will be in the Sabylund Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers are Travis Kopp, Greg Zullo, Chad Haglund, Denny Haglund, Jr., Matt Haglund, Todd Anderson, Dan Haglund, John Thorne, Chuck Haglund, Don Haglund, Dean Haglund and Denny Haglund, Sr. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Maiden Rock
