RED WING -- A memorial service for Marian Theresa Heitman-Bartels will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Mahn Family Funeral Home-Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing, with Rev. Todd Engel officiating.

Mrs. Heitman-Bartels, 94, of Red Wing, died Sunday (July 8, 2007) at St. Brigid's at Hi-Park.

Marian Theresa Eggenberger was born Apr. 9, 1913, in Lake City and attended school there. On May 11, 1929, she married Edwin Heitman. They lived in Lake City until moving to Red Wing in 1942. He died Feb. 1, 1989. She married Edward Bartels in October 1990, at the Little Brown Church in Iowa. He died Sept. 30, 1993. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed flower gardening.

Survivors include five children, Evelyn (Wilson) Wheeler of Alta Loma, Calif., Covell (Karen) Heitman of Detroit Lakes, Rodney Heitman of St. Paul, Roger (Sara) Heitman of Red Wing and Judy (Jim) Ryan of Pine City; 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, two granddaughters, two sisters and a brother.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
