Doris M. Williams Cubbage, 71, of 6185 Kettle View Road in Elkton, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, at her home.

Mrs. Cubbage was born Aug. 23, 1933, in Rockingham County, and was the daughter of the late Everett and Della Becks Williams.

She lived all her life in Rockingham County, attended the Newtown School, and worked at Dunham-Bush before retiring several years ago.

Mrs. Cubbage attended Bible Way Church of God in Christ in Elkton, where her husband, Elder B.F. Cubbage Jr. pastors.

She is survived by four daughters, Beuhah Thomas, Charlotte Majors, Barbara Davis Freeman and Sharon Hodgins, all of Elkton; four sons, Benjamin F. Cubbage III, David Cubbage, Timothy Cubbage and Todd Cubbage, all of Elkton; three brothers, Harold Williams and Hoover Williams, both of Elkton and Eddie Williams of Bethesda, Md.; one sister, Marie Whisonant of Elkton; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A son, Michael Cubbage, preceded her in death Aug. 27, 1994.

Pastors Archie Webster and Elder Leon McCauley will conduct the funeral 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7-9 at the funeral home or friends may call anytime at the Cubbage home.
