D, 165th Pennsylvania Infantry (aka "Drafted Militia"), and honorably discharged with his company July 28, 1863, in Gettysburg.
He died at his home following a stroke at the reported age of 76-9-8 calculates to a birth date of September 24, 1817. Interestingly, the only obituaries found in online newspaper archives were from Dauphin and Franklin County.
