James Adams, a retired farmer, died suddenly at the home of Mrs. William Funt, Butler township, near Arendtsville, where he boarded, Saturday evening at 5:30, aged 72 years.
He is survived by four sons and three daughters; Harry, of New Jersey; John, Mrs. Edward Ditloe, and Mrs. James Myers, of Harrisburg; Mrs. Wolf and Samuel Adams, of Ohio, and Joseph Adams, of Chambersburg. Three sisters, Mrs. Ambrose, and Mrs. James Staub, near Hanover; Mrs. Mickley, near Cashtown, and one brother, John Adams, of Gettysburg RD, also survive.
Funeral services Thursday morning with high mass as St. Ignatius Church, Buchanan Valley, at 10:00, conducted by the Rev. Father W W Whalen. Interment in the cemetery adjoining the church.
