Sterling M. Coulson
Sterling M. Coulson, 49, who was a resident of Rt. 4, Ga lax, died in Medical College of Virginia Hospital, Richmond, Thursday, May 20, 1965. He had been ill for several weeks.
He was born in Carroll County November 13, 1915, to Israel Coulson and wife, Mrs. Amanda Sharp Coulson.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Erma Coulson; one daughter, Miss Doris Coulson, of the home; three sisters, Mrs. George Doss, Austinville; Mrs. Wesley Burnett, Woodlawn, and Mrs. George Burnett, Galax, and two brothers, Floyd Coulson, Woodlawn, and Glenn E. Coulson, Radford.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at the First Christian Church by the Rev. W. E. Cunningham, pastor of the church.
Interment was in Monta Vista Memory Gardens.
The body rested at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home until time for removal to be placed in the church one hour before the services.
