The Bryan County native was a retired farmer and a state highway employee. He was a member of Pembroke Christian Church.
Surviving are two sons, the Rev. C. M. Butler Sr. of Savannah and Willie Butler of Pembroke; three daughters, Mrs. Kathryn B. Greene of Pooler, Mrs. Janet B. Newton of Homosassa, Fla., and Mrs. Loka B. Tapley of Garden City; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral: 3 p.m. Tuesday at Morrison Funeral Home of Pembroke, burial in North Side Cemetery in Pembroke.
