Edwin was the son of Nicholas & Jane Stevenson Wood. He married Amanda Jane Barr, 29 Dec 1892, Effingham County, Illinois. They had six children.

Edwin E. Woods(sic), Retired Beecher City Farmer, Dies

Beecher City — Edwin E. Woods(sic), 90, of Beecher City, died Monday at a Bement nursing home where he had resided since last Dec. 2.

A retired farmer whose wife died many years ago, Mr. Woods(sic) had resided at his home here until he entered the Bement home.

Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Fleta White of Cowden, Mrs. Marcia(sic) Petersen, Bement, and Mrs. Dorothy Baker of Beecher City; sisters, Mrs. Eliza Fortner of Beecher City and Mrs. Flora Weber(sic) of Decatur.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cook funeral home with Rev. Shirley Milner officiating. Burial will be in Beecher City cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral after 7 p.m. today.
