He professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. For many years he was a farmer in the Kindness Community of Taylor County and was employed by the Union Underwear Company for eleven years before his retirement.
On 1918 he united in marriage to Miss. Stella Colvin who preceded him in death September 13, 1954. To this union ten children were born. One daughter died in infancy and daughter Mrs. Louise York on February 12, 1953. Survivng are; Mrs. Cora (Charles) Porter of Campbellsville, Mr. Leonard (Regina) Richerson of Route 2, Campbellsville; Mr. Larry Richerson, Mr. Eddie (May) Richerson, Mr. Aurthur (Ray) Richerson, Mr. Fred Richerson, Mrs. Aileen (Eddie) Maupin and Mrs. Barbara (Francis) Maupin all of Louisville.
On October 9, 1965 he united in marriage to Mrs. Mary Abell Cox. Besides his wife and children, he is survived by twenty nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters and two brothers; Mrs. Maggie Colvin and Mrs. Ernest Richerson both of Campbellsville; and Mr. Wesley Richerson and Mrs. Cora Colvin both of Lebanon.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 Pm Monday, March 8 th. in the Parrott and Ramsey Funeral HOme by Rev. D.L. Druien and Rev. Isadore Childers with burial in the Brookside Cemetery.
Pallbearers were; Billy Richerson, Nathan and Barry Maupin, Jerry York, J. T. Rafferty and Arnold Sprowles.
