Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Richerson York, age 30 years was held Saturday, February 14, at 2:00 PM, at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. D.L. Druien in charge, assisted by Rev. J. Chester Badgett and Rev. W.R. Simmone.
Mrs. York was the daughter of Mr. Edd Richerson and Stella Colvin Richerson, of the Lone Valley Neighborhood, born November 11, 1922 in Taylor County Kentucky and died Thursday, February 12 at 11:55 PM at the Kentucky Baptist Hospital in Louisville. She professed faith in Christ at the age of 12 and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Mr. Howard York, September 15, 1940 and to this union one son was born, Jerry York at home.Besides her husband and son she is survived by Father and Mother, Mr. and Mrs. Edd Richerson, of Taylor County, Kentucky. Five brothers and three sisters, Mr. Leonard Richerson and Mr. Larry Richerson both of Campbellsville, Ky., Mr. Ray Richerson and Mr.May Richerson both of Detroit, Michigan, Mr. Fred Richerson, Mrs. Eddie Maupin and Mrs. Martin Maupin all of Louisville, Ky.,Miss Cora Nell Richerson, of Campbellsville, Ky.,Grandfather, Mr. John R. Richerson, Of Taylor County, Ky. and many other relatives and friends.
Burial was in the Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers were; J. B. Crawley, James Deener, Homer Kirtley, Chester Blakeman, Lynwood Kessler and Carter Jarboe.
