Mrs. W.M. Maroney is Buried Tuesday in City Cemetery

Mrs. W.M. Maroney of Carey, 62 years old, died late Saturday evening in the Childress General Hospital. Final rites were held at 3 pm. Tuesday in the Carey First Baptist church by Wayne R. Williams, the pastor.

Lena Rich Maroney was born on June 20, 1888, in Lamar county, Texas. She was married on January 6, 1906 in Paris, Texas. The Maroney family came to Childress county in 1917. Mr Maroney is a retired farmer.

Her survivors include her husband, two sons, Wesley and Leroy, both of Amarillo and four daughters, Mrs Effie Owen of Childress, Mrs Mable Owen of Carey, Mrs Vergie Owen of Dimmitt and Mrs Catherine Ioor of Amarillo. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs May Bailey of Deport and one brother, Tom Rich of Cooper. One son, Billy, preceded her in death

Interment was in the Childress cemetery under the direction of Murphy - Spicer funeral home of Memphis.
