Lowell Thomas Harris, 49, of 25 Broad Street, Martinsville, died Sunday at his home.
He was born in Martinsville on March 30, 1934 to the late Martin Luther Harris and Lilla Palmer Harris. He was a truck driver for C. and N. Evans Trucking Co., Stoneville, NC and was a member of Clearview Baptist Church.
Surviving are five sons, Thomas Gene Harris of Henderson, NC; David Lee Harris and Charles Monroe Harris of Martinsville; Nelson Dale Harris of Marion, IN; and Mark Steven Harris of Central, SC; two brothers, Joseph M. Harris of Roanoke and Lester M. Harris of Ararat; and three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Shoemaker, Mrs. Mildred H. Moore and Miss Mary Virginia Harris of Martinsville.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 P.M. Wednesday at Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel at Ridgeway by the Revs. Haywood Alcorn and Dale Reynolds. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 P.M. today.
In addition to flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Clearview Baptist Church.
