BRAZIL - In Petaluma, Oct. 23, 1936, Antone S., devoted husband of Mary Brazil; loving father of Tony Brazil, Mrs. Marie Voight, Joseph Brazil of Petaluma; Mrs. Ida Kaiser of Martinez; Mrs. Lena Wyman of Santa Rosa; Lillian Brazil of San Francisco and the late John Brazil and Geraldine Leath. Brother of John Silva and Manuel Silva of Tomales. A native of Azores Island, aged 74 years.

Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend the funeral Monday Oct. 26, 1936 at 9:15 o'clock A.M. from the Chapel of Blackburn & Sorensen, 400 Washington St., thence to St. Vincent's church where a solemn mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul, commencing at 9:30 A.M. Interment Tomales Cemetery."

"Final Rites for Antone Brazil
A solemn mass for the repose of the soul of the late Antone S. Brazil, Petaluma businessman who died Friday, was celebrated at St. Vincent's church Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Interment followed in the family plot at the Tomales cemetery.

Friends from all sections of southern Sonoma county and northern Marin county were there to pay their final tribute to the pioneer.

Rev. Father Ehrmann was the celebrant of the mass. Rev. Father Kiely the deacon and Rev. Father Flannagan the sub deacon. Father Flannagan also offered the committal prayer at the rural cemetery.

The honorary pallbearers were Ed Bean, Louis Guldager, John Mattos, Perry Hanratty, Antone Focha Sr. and Antone Gonsalves. Acting pallbearers included Peter J. Azevedo, Wm. Caulfield, Chris Riewerts, Fred Wedel, Joseph Focha and John Cunha.

Floral tributes, which came as tokens of the high esteem in which Mr. Brazil was held, were piled high on the grave at Tomales, near the ranch where for many years he had operated a dairy farm along with a grocery store here.
