Julian Lafayette Barnett was the son of Washington Lawrence and Frances Catherine Lyons Barnett; the husband of Lilla Floy (Pinkie) Kuykendall Barnett; and the father of Julian Lafayette (Fay) Jr., Orion Algin, Julia Frances, Floy Lee, Vander Franklin, Lawrence Thornton (L.T.), Ollie Delle, Doyle Harold, Weldon Hoover, Mayme Oleta, Donald Dee, Sylva Louise, and Lutha Jo Barnett.

Mr. Julian Barnett, longtime resident of Burnet County, passed away February 20, 1967 in Austin following an extended illness.

He was born May 5, 1873 in Fayette County, Texas. His wife, Mrs. Pinkie Barnett preceded him in death on July 18, 1960.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 22, at the Vandeveer Street Church of Christ with Minister Darrel Debo and Minister Morris Kemper officiating. Interment was in the Bluffton Cemetery with the Edgar Funeral Directors in charge.

Surviving him are five daughters, Julia, Louise, Lutha Jo, Mamie and Floy; four sons, L.T., Donald, Doyle and Weldon Barnett; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
