Perry Wayne Castor, 66, died October 25, 1996 in Siskiyou County.
Celebration of life services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at O'Hair's Funeral Chapel, 515 Pine Street, with the Rev. Dr. Richard Christensen officiating.
Cremation will be done by Klamath Cremation Service.
Mr. Castor was born June 12, 1930 to Elmer Otis and Emma (Bernhardt) Castor in McCook, Nebraska. He married Dorothy Paddock on July 7, 1951, in Concordia, Kansas. They moved to Fort Morgan, Colorado, where he worked for Shell Oil Company. They later moved to Kimball, Nebraska, where the family resided for 15 years. They moved to Klamath Falls in 1972, and Mr. Castor worked for the Sixth Street Steel Company until 1990, when he retired for health reasons.
His hobbies included refereeing for high school and college sports, coaching Babe Ruth baseball, playing cads and bingo. He traveled with his old English sheep dog, Bear. He was caretaker for the Walt Badorek hunting area and was a member of Odd Fellows Lodge for 46 years.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dorothy Castor, Klamath Falls; daughters and sons-in-law, Coral and Bill Blind of Klamath Falls and Kay and Mike Zurenko of Vacerville, California; son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Jerri Castor, Klamath Falls; brothers, Floyd Castor, Francis Castor; sister, Marie Dearsmith; and seven grandchildren.
