The daughter of Joseph Orestus Walk and Mary Ester Bellos.

First married to James Blakely Calley in 1897. After his death she married Joe Burleson in 1912. She took back her married name of Calley after her second marriage ended in divorce in 1925.

Lora had seven children with James B. Calley.

Several years after James' death Lora took in a young girl, Ruby, and raised her. Whether a formal adoption took place or not is unknown but Ruby did take the Calley name.
