Mrs. Emma V. MOSES, 93, died at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday at Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She had made her home at 503 Sumner St. & had been a resident of Cherokee since 1919.
Born on 14 January 1878 at Marion, Ia.; she married William A. MOSES, Sr. on 21 May 1895 at Oto, Ia. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
Survivors are 4 daughters, Mrs. Elsie DABBELAERE of East Moline, Il.; Mrs. Alice REUSCH of Greenville; Miss Mary MOSES of Cherokee & Mrs. Eileen NELSON of Davenport; 2 sons, William MOSE Jr. of Spirit Lake & Wayne MOSES of Fort Dodge; 27 grandchildren; 94 great grandchildren; 23 great, great grandchildren; & 3 brothers, Charles BLACKFORD of Sioux City & Guy & Lloyd BLACKFORD, both of Smithland, Ia.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, William Moses Sr. on 18 August 1957; 2 daughters, Mrs. Edward SURFUS in 1933 & Mrs. Ermal HENDERSON in 1971; & 8 brothers & sisters.
Services will be announced later by Boothby Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
