William E. Blackford, 81, a resident of 151 Boston Ave., died at the Mansfield General Hospital Friday following a stroke at his home. Born in Moville, IA. 6 Dec. 1874, he has lived in Mansfield the past 17 years. He was employed as a stone mason. Surviving are 2 sons, Richard & Francis Blackford; 2 daughters, Mrs. Elvene Bates of Marysville, AR. & Mrs. Josephine Bentley of Lamar, CO.; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson. Funeral services will be conducted by J. H. Finefrock & Sons Funeral Home, Monday at 10 a.m. by Rev. David Mann. Interment in Shenandoah Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today after 7 p.m.
