BAXTER Funeral services for Winnie Milse Butler, 74, of Boma, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27, from the chapel of Baxter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Smellage Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. today, Friday, Dec. 26, and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Butler died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 9, 1934, in Jackson County to the late Garrett and Hatha Burgess Vinson.
Her family includes two daughters and a soninlaw, Joan and Doug Burgess of Boma and Debi Daniels of Baxter; two sons and a daughterinlaw, Charles W. Butler of Boma and James and Sandy Butler of Rickman; sisters and brothers, Ann Jones of Jackson County, Carl Vinson of Guntersville, Ala., Helen Bellar and Gene Bellar of Jackson County, Bobby Vinson and wife Betty Jean of Santa Claus, Ind.; 12 grandchildren and their spouses; 12 greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Butler; three brothers, Garrett Vinson Jr., Harold (Brains) Vinson and Charles Vinson; and a sister, Catherine Vinson.
