Funeral services for Charles "Charlie" Robert Butler, 77, of Baxter will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, from the chapel of Baxter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Smellage Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Butler died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
He was born July 30, 1928, in White County to the late Robert Brian and Mary Sara Lamb Butler.
Mr. Butler was a construction worker for P. Gracie Construction Co. and was of the Baptist faith.
His family includes his wife of 51 years, Winnie Milse Vinson Butler of Baxter; two daughters and a soninlaw, Joan Butler and Doug Burgess of Boma and Debi Daniels of Baxter; two sons and a daughterinlaw, Charles W. Butler of Boma and James and Sandy Butler of Rickman; several nieces, nephews, brothers and sistersinlaw; 12 grandchildren and their spouses; and five great grandchildren.
