Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter. FOREST TOWN NATIVE DIES AT AGE OF 95. Mrs. Katherina Schmidlkofer, 95, of Mt. Calvary, died at 8 p.m. on Tuesday (May 2, 1961) after a long illness. She was born on March 19, 1866, in the Town of Forest, the daughter of Mathias and Elizabeth Walgenbach Hennen. On January 17, 1888, she was married to Henry Fritz, who died in 1904. She was married again on November 13, 1913, to Joseph Schmidlkofer, who died in 1921. She was a member of the Christian Mothers, the Third Order of St. Francis, and the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters of Holy Cross church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Martha Abhold, Mt. Calvary, Mrs. Isabelle Anthony, Fond du Lac, and Mrs. Eleanor Nett, Peebles; and two sons, Albert J. Fritz, Fond du Lac and W. Edward Fritz, Arlington Heights, Ill. Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Susan Loehr, Los Angeles; 14 grandchildren; and 22 grandchildren. The body will lie in state at the Bidlingmaier Funeral home after 2 p.m. on Thursday. Services will be at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. and at Holy Cross church at Mt. Calvary on Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Kathrina Schmidlkofer, who died Thursday, were held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Bidlingmaier Funeral home, and at 10 a.m. at the Holy Cross church, Mt. Calvary, The Rev. Ephrem Hertl, O.F.M. Cap, officiated. Pallbearers were the grandsons of Mrs. Schmidlkofer, Carl Fritz, Wilfred and Frank Abhold, James, Eugene and Bruce Nett. Christian Mothers and the Third Order of St. Francis attended the services. Out-of-town residents who attended were from Arlington Heights, Ill., Milwaukee, Sheboygan, Appleton, Racine and Manitowish Waters.
