Fond du Lac Daily Commonwealth, Wed. Aug. 14, 1929, p. 3:3. COUNTY PIONEER DIES SUDDENLY. M.J. Hennen, Resident Of Vicinity For 77 Years, Expires. M.J. Hennen, 89, died at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph Schmidelkofer at Mt. Calvary. His death ahd not been expected. Born April 18, 1840, at Coblenz, Germany, Mr. Hennen came to America at the age of 12 years and had been a resident of Fond du Lac county since that time, or for a period of 77 years. He resided in Fond du Lac from 1920 to December, 1928, when he went to the home of his daughter at Mt. Calvary to reside. His wife died in 1917. Mr. Hennen is survived by five daughters, Mrs. J.J. Kraemer, Fond du Lac, Mrs. Joseph Schmidelkofer, Mt. Calvary, Mrs. Frances Huolihan, Appleton, Mrs. Henry Loehr, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Rosie Skwor, Mishicot, Wis., four sons, John, Frank and J.E. Hennen of Fond du Lac and Matt Hennen of Waukesha, and by 87 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, John Hennen of Mt. Calvary and Nicholas Hennen of Pierce, Minn. The body was taken to the Murray Funeral home until funeral arrangements, which will be announced later, are completed.

Hennen, 89, who died at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph Schmidelkofer at Mt. Calvary, will be held from the home of his son, J.E. Hennen, 156 Fifth street, at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Mr. Hennen is survived by five daughters, Mrs. H.J. Kraemer, Fond du Lac, Mrs. Joseph Schmidelkofer, Mt.
