Mathew B. Coe, aged 63, of Parkersburg, died in the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital at Parkersburg, Wednesday morning at 1:00 o'clock, April 22, following a short illness. He underwent an appendicitis operation about a week ago. Mr. Coe was an employee of the Viscose company and a member of the Broadway Baptist church. Surviving are his wife, Minervia, and four children, Mrs. Edith Walton and Mrs. Kathryn Balderson of Parkersburg, and Sherwood and Betty Louise Coe at home, and three grandchildren. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters, Charles Coe of New York, Thomas of Porterfield, O., Cecil of Palestine, Guy of Elizabeth, Grover and Robert Coe and Mrs. Mamie Allman all of Parkersburg, Mrs. Martha Davis and Miss Zora Coe of Elizabeth. Funeral services were held at Bethesda Baptist church in Palestine Friday afternoon by the Rev. K.T. Board. Interment was in the church cemetery.
