Burial will be in the spring at St. Mary's Cemetery in Watertown. Pallbearers will be Dale Henning, Brad Henning, Jacob Stromseth, Zack Feil-Stromseth, Cole Stromseth and Duane Christofferson.
Gloria June Stromseth was born Jan 6, 1931, to Oscar and Frances (Richardt) Christofferson in Summit. She was raised in the Summit area and attended country school near her home.
After finishing school, she worked for a short time in Summit before marrying Albin Stromseth Jun 22, 1953, in Webster. They moved to rural Roslyn where they farmed. In 1985, she moved to Webster where she worked at Bethesda Nursing Home and Dakota Quilting. In 1999, she retired to Watertown and was active in church groups at Immaculate Conception Church.
She enjoyed gardening, raising turkeys and chickens, growing flowers, reading, working crossword puzzles and spending time with her family as well as cooking and baking for them.
Survivors include her children, Patty (Ken) Henning, Mark (Jennifer) Stromseth and Darwin (Mary) Stromseth, all of Watertown and Brian (Judy) Stromseth of Basalt, CO; her sister, Elaine (Alvin) Aker of Ortley; three brothers, Gerald Christofferson of Sauk Center, MN, Forrest (Gladys) Christofferson of Brooklyn Park, MN, and Lloyd (Sandra) Christofferson of Summit; one sister-in-law, Helen Christofferson of Watertown; one brother-in-law, Alvin Amy of Watertown; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
