Services for Walter Elwin Herrick, 42, of Boise, Idaho, who died in a Boise hospital Wednesday Dec 2, were conducted Saturday Dec 5 in the Fifth-Eighth Ward LDS Chapel in Boise by Bp. Claude Brown. Interment was in Boise.
Mr Herrick was born Aug 30, 1922 at Freedom, Wyo. a son of Mr and Mrs Aroet Herrick. He moved to Boise about four years ago from Soda Springs, Idaho. His first employment in the Boise area was with the Morrison-Kundsen Company in heavy-duty construction and later in May 1963, began employment with the Gent Canning Company at Emmett.
He served overseas during World War II and was married to Mary Lou Bolton, Nov 19, 1946 at Logan, Utah. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Lyn and Kay; two sons Dale and Jon all of Boise; his parents, Mr and Mrs Aroet Herrick, Etna, Wyo.; two sisters, Mrs Eva Bartel, Boise, and Mrs Lois Baker, Benson, Utah; and a brother Roe Herrick, Afton.
