Florence Eva Herrick Bartel died in Boise, ID May 11, 1990 after a long illness.
Eva was born in Etna, Aug 26, 1918 to Roe Sr. and Sylvia Herrick.
She quit school to take care of her mother. She married Albert (Buddy) Bartel June 22, 1936 in Idaho Falls.
Her life at this time was dedicated to her husband, children, and home. When her Father and mother became too old to live alone, she and buddy bought a house in Boise and moved them next door. She nursed her father for many years until he died.
At her father's death her husband became very ill and she nursed him with tender love and care until he died. She watched over her mother as she grew infirm and at her mother's death she was very ill. Phil and carol Simison took her to their home and took care of her until her death.
No greater life could she had lived then to be of service in such a devoted manner. Eva left a legacy of family unity and love. She was call Cooky by all her nieces and nephews.
She had five children, 22 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Buddy,, brother Elwin, a grandson, and her parents.
