EDWIN E. SKIDMORE

Edwin Eric Skidmore, son of John T. and Hilda A. Skidmore, was born at Lucas, Iowa, April 28, 1903. He passed away Aug. 10, 1961 at University hospital, Iowa City, at the age of 58 years, three months and 13 days.

He was united in marriage to Margarete Baker on April 27, 1940. To this union one son was born.

He grew to manhood in Lucas and Chariton. He was a devoted husband and father and friend to all who knew him.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Margarete, son, Donald, a sister, Mrs. E. R. VanScoy, of Osceola, and a brother, Melvin, of Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his father, John T., his mother, Hilda A., and two sisters.

He was a member of Paul Revere Lodge No. 638, Lucas.

Funeral services were held at the Beardsley Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 13, with the Rev. A. E. Beals officiating. Interment was in the Chariton cemetery.
