E.C. Carson Died At
Woodburn Wednes.
Funeral services for Edward C. Carson, 64, will be held from the Woodburn Christian church Friday afternoon at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Roy Weaklend.
Mr. Carson passed away Wednesday. The services will be in charge of the Forster Funeral Home.

Edward C. Carson
Edward Carl Carson, son of J. W. and Martha Carson, was born at Ottawa, Iowa, on December 23, 1875, and passed away at his home on January 03, 1940, at the age of 64 years and 10 days.
He was married to Della Fern Hill at Woodburn, Iowa on September 8, 1897.
To this union one daughter was born, Mrs. R. P. Weaklend of Humeston, Iowa.
Besides his wife and daughter he is survived by one sister, Mrs. William Cutter of Coin, Iowa, one brother, R. C. Carson of Creston, Iowa, and one half brother, William Carson of Woodburn, Iowa besides a host of other relatives and friends.
His entire life was spent at Ottawa and adjoining county of Lucas.
Funeral service were held at the Woodburn Christian church on Jan. 5, with Rev. Roy Weaklend officiating. Music was given by Mrs. Dorothy Evans and Mrs. Greta Woods with Mrs. Jettie Martin, pianist.
Pallbearers were Thomas Boston, Melvin Woods, Joe Kasper, Wilbert Weaklend, Roy James and Glen Evans. Burial made at the Woodburn cemetery.
