Funeral services were being held this Thursday at Shenandoah at the Harding Funeral Home and burial was to be in Snow Hill Cemetery north of Coin. The remains arrived in Shenandoah Tuesday night.
Several of the family have arrived in Clarinda to visit at the Wallace home until the services. Included are Mrs Marie Bussard of Ottumwa, Mrs Martha Cochran of Boise, Ida, Mr and Mrs Harold Zahm of Copperas Cove, Tex, Mr and Mrs Robert Zahm and children of Morris, Ill, Mrs Doris Mollenkauph and children of Ottumwa, Ia, Mr and Mrs Kenneth Cochran of Boise, Ida, Mr and Mrs Jerry Cutter and family of Springfield, Mo, Mr and Mrs Jim Cutter and family of Sandstone, Minn, and Francis Stephens of Omaha.
Survivors of Mrs Cutter include four children, Mrs Wallace, Mrs Cochran and Mrs Bussard and Carl Cutter, the latter of Shenandoah. Two sons preceded her in death. She had 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and her one great great grandchild is Pammy, daughter of Mr and Mrs Jack Woldruff of Clarinda.
Cordia Ellen Cutter was born Feb 28, 1879 at Ottaway, near Woodburn, Ia, and she received her education there. She was married to William Monroe Cutter at Ottaway on Feb 24, 1897. They farmed three miles north of Coin, at which place their family was reared. When Mr Cutter died in 1947, the wife came to Clarinda to live with their daughter, Lelia Wallace and 10 years later to Boise, Ida. CLARINDA HERALD JOURNAL, Clarinda, Iowa, 10 Apr 1969
