Frederick Post - September 24, 1941

Elmer Clayton Hersperger, 75-year-old retired farmer, died Monday night at about 11:30 o'clock at his home in Dickerson. He had been in failing health for some years but his immediate illness was of only a few weeks duration.

Born in Frederick county, he was the son of the late Aaron and Amanda C. Ahalt Hersperger. His wife, Mrs. Anna Sellman Hersperger, died about 20 years ago.

Surviving are three children: Miss Evenly Hersperger, Washington, D.C.; Russell Hersperger, Laurel; and Mrs. Lloyd Jones, Jr., of Dickerson.

The funeral will be held this morning at 10:30 o'clock from the late residence with interment in the Monocacy Cemetery at Beallsville. William B. Hilton, funeral director.
