Mrs. Anna [Bucher] Winstead, 81, widow of William Robert Winstead, died at 2:30 a.m. Friday in the Williamsport Sanitarium where she had been a patient four years.

A resident of Washington, D.C. for 38 years, Mrs. Winstead was born in Poolesville, the daughter of Aaron B. and Hester Ann Whipp Hersberger.

She had formerly been employed by the Raleigh Haberdashery in Washington for many years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Eastern Star Chapter in Washington.

Surviving are one son, Robert H. Winstead, Martinsburg, W. Va., three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Hempstone Griffith, Rockville, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Hilton Funeral Home, Barnesville, where services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Monocacy Cemetery in Beallsville.
