Billy "Bill" Wayne Baker, 74, of Clyde died Thursday December 30, 2010 at his son's home in Clyde. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday January 2, 2011 in the Clyde Cemetery with David Peterson officiating under the direction of Bailey-Howard Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Baker was born February 26, 1936 in Girard, Texas to W.O. and Anna Grace Boyd Baker. He married Billie Garner, September 16, 1957 in San Angelo. They moved to Clyde in 1976. He was a self-employed painter and was affiliated with the Oak Street Church of Christ in Abilene.
Mr. Baker is survived by five sons, Ozell Baker, Rocky Baker and wife Karen, Billy "Wayne" Baker and wife Sherry, Thomas Baker and Bobby Baker; one daughter, Diane Ramos and husband Sammy all of Clyde; two sisters, Dee Baker and Jo Baker; three half brothers, Ron, Bob, and Corky; six half sisters, Rose, Barbara, Margie, TAnn, Jessie, and Linnie; eight grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
