Dee Baker, 79, of Barling, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was a retired cook for Pocola Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Baker and Anna Grace Cowan; two step-sisters, Billie Jo Freeman and Sue Beth Booth; two step-brothers, Don Cowan and Dan Cowan and brother, Billy Wayne Baker.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 19 at McConnell Funeral Home with interment at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron, Oklahoma.
Viewing will be Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Dee is survived by three brothers, Ron Staily of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Carl Boyd Cowan of Barling and Robert Cowan of Claremore, OK; seven sisters, Jo Dell Williams of Boston, Massachusetts, T. Ann Jackson of Sallisaw, OK, Rosa Peterson of Joplin, Missouri, Jessie Springer of Pocola, OK, Linnie Binyon of Charleston, AR, Barbara Harris of Pocola, OK and Marjorie Harrald of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and step-sister, Anna Faye Waiton of Abilene, TX.
