Born June 13, 1899, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late James L. and Lucy (Sprankle) Hardman.
She was the widow of the late Omer W. Martz who died in 1952.
She was a lifelong resident of Waynesboro and prior to moving to her present residence three years ago to live with her son, Donald, she had lived at 2 W. King Street for 55 years.
She was a life member of Trinity United Church of Christ of Waynesboro.
She is survived by three sons, Gilson W. Martz, Glenn L. Martz and Donald W. Martz, all of Waynesboro; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one step-great-great grandson; one step great-great granddaughter; two sisters, Pearl Barlup of Greencastle and Lemma G. Snurr of Waynesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
