Jamestown Native Will Lawler Dies

Will A. Lawler, 81 native of Jamestown passed away Monday morning at his home near Roachdale. He had been in failing health for four years.

Born April 1, 1884 the son of Cornelius and Caroline (Trotter) Lawler, he grew up in the Jamestown community. He was married September 14, 1908 at Greencastle to Bessie Ross who survives.

Surviving also are two sons, Ross of Crawfordsville and Malcolm of Roachdale; a daughter; Mrs. Mildred Mandelco of Roachdale; two brothers, Arthur Lawler of Jamestown and Claude Lawler of Lebanon; 12 grandchildren, ten Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He had farmed his entire life and was a member of the Raccoon Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Perkins Funeral Home in Roachdale with the Rev. Robert Hayden officiating. Burial will be at Jamestown. Friends may call the funeral home anytime.
