Mrs. Nelia Reed Dies Early Today -- Services At Bratton's Thursday Afternoon

Mrs. Nelia Reed, age 66 years, lifelong resident of Boone county passed away this morning at 4:30 o'clock at her home, three and one half miles northwest of Advance. She had been in failing health the past five years.

Mrs. Reed was born in Boone county, a daughter of Cornelius and Caroline (Trotter) Lawler. She spent her entire life in the county and most of the time in near Advance. She was married in September 1899 near Jamestown to Ora F. Reed who survives.

Surviving are the husband, four children, Mrs. Fawnie C. Ware of Muncie, Forrest C. Reed of Richmond, Baxter Reed of Advance, athletic director at Dover school, Francis Reed of Logansport; a sister, Mrs. Delia Dickerson; five brothers, Will Lawler of Roachdale, Jess Lawler of Colfax, Claude Lawler of Brownsburg, Arthur Lawler of Jamestown, and Henry Lawler of Oklahoma and seven grandchildren. One brother, Thomas Lawler, and a grandchild are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at two o'clock at the Bratton Brothers funeral home with Rev. Cornelius Airhart of New Market officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cementery. Friends may call at the Bratton funeral home.
