Jamestown Resident Dies

Mrs. Mary Cordelia Dickson, 83 a Boone county native and resident of Jamestown died Friday in Indianapolis following a lengthly illness.

The daughter of Cornelius and Caroline (Trotter) Lawler she was born March 12, 1878 and was a twin her sister Cornelia Reed having died a number of years ago. She was married on June 16, 1895 to Charles Dickson who died in 1921. In 1925 she was married in Johnson county to his brother Warren Dickson who survives and resides in Jamestown.

Mrs. Dickson was employed 30 years by the Kahn Tailoring company in Indianapolis having retired 12 years ago. She was a member of the Methodist church and Rebekah lodge at Jamestown.

Surviving besides her husband are two grandchildren Mrs. Imogene Chadd and Robert Caldwell both of Indianapolis; three brothers C. G. Lawler of Lebanon, Arthur Lawler of Jamestown and Will Lawler of Ladoga and three great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her twin sister a daughter and three brothers.

Last rites will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Walker funeral home in Jamestown with burial in the 100F cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
