Father of Local Woman dies
Malcolm A. Lawler, Roachdale fathers of a Thorntown woman died suddenly Sunday at Hendricks County Hospital, Danville.
Lawler was born in Roachdale January 20, 1923. He was a retired truck driver.
Lawler was a member of the Roachdale Christian Church, Teamsters Local No. 135 Indianapolis and the Roachdale Christian Lodge. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife the former Dorothy Jackson whom he married September 14, 1947, four daughters Mrs. Gary (Barbara) Campbell, Thorntown, Mrs. John (Carol) Malmquist, Madison Wisconsin, Mrs. Ellery (Beverly) Girard, Nokomis Florida and Mrs. Tom (Diana)Pringle, Fishers, a son Dale Lawler of Roachdale, a sister Mildred Mandeleco, Roachdale and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, brother and sister.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Roachdale Christian church with Revs. Andy Simpkins, Lee Schmidt and Jerry Harris officiating. Burial will be at the Roachdale Cemetery. Friends may call at the Simpkins and Morgan Funeral home, 203 East Washington Street, Roachdale.
