Ovid Allaire Dies,
Long With Building Firm
Ovid J. Allaire, 69, of 195 Summer Street, died this morning at Bristol Hospital after a short illness.
Born in Bristol, March 2, 1900, son of Pierre and Vitaline (Landry) Allaire, he was treasurer of the former Pierre Allaire and Sons, Inc., building contractors, a family owned operation, retiring when the business was dissolved in the late 1950's.
During World War I, he served in France with the American Expeditionary Forces.
He was a member of Seicheprey Post No. 2, American Legion, the Bristol Fish and Game Club, Chippanee Golf Club, St. Ann's Church and a former member of the Lions Club.
