Near Portville, N..Y, July 27th, 1879, under very painful circumstances, GEORGE ARMSTRONG, aged 30 years. One of his horses had a sore shoulder, and while dressing it, the horse became very uneasy and restive, showing much resentment to the treatment he was receiving; and finally he kicked, hitting him in the bowels. Mr. Armstrong was taken to his house and medical aid procured. He died in twenty-four hours after receiving the injury. His funeral was attended the 29th, at the West Genesee Church, by a large concourse of relations, friends, and acquaintances. He leaves a wife and three children.
