CHARLES ARMSTRONG
DIES SATURDAY
Charles Armstrong, age 75 passed away Saturday evening at his home on Brooklyn Street. Mr. Armstrong was born in Friendship but had been a resident of Portville most of his life. He is survived by his wife and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday afternoon in charge of Rev. E. E. Evans a member of the First Baptist Church of Olean and a friend of the family. A prayer service was held at the home at two o’clock and the funeral service at two-thirty at the First Methodist church. Burial was in West Genesee Cemetery. The pall bearers were Martin Burdick, Harold Carlson, John Carlson, Horner Wray, Edward Stiefvater and Neil Gleason.
