C. H. Ward, 100, died late Saturday at his home after a short illness. The Jenkins County native had lived most of his life in Bulloch County. He was a retired carpenter, a charter member of the 100 Club in Brooklet and a member of Brooklet United Methodist Church.

Survivors include five daughters, Minnie DeVoe and Gladys Sowell, both of Savannah, Bobbie Bachman, Brunswick, Betty Frances Waine, Orlando, Fla., and Bonnie Faye Holland, Knoxville, Tenn.; two sons, Johnny Ward, Brooklet, and Albert Ward, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; 32 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and our great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brooklet United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Brooklet City Cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Hodges-Turner Funeral Home.
