Ruby Sudduth Campbell Rogers of Ebenezer Welcome Community, Landrum, S.C., 88, went home to be with the Lord, February 17, 2008, from the Hospice House of Spartanburg.
She was the daughter of the late Earl and Neice Howard Sudduth and the wife of the late Horace Gibson Rogers of Little Chicago.
Mrs. Rogers is survived by two stepsons, Kenny Rogers of Inman, S.C., and Wayne Rogers of Rock Hill, S.C.
She was a member of Ebenezer Welcome Baptist Church, and a former Meals on Wheels volunteer until the age 82. She retired from John Deere of Greer.
Wife of the late Fred Willis Campbell of Gowensville, S.C., Mrs. Rogers is survived by two daughters and two sons, Eleanor Jean Campbell Williams (Manning) of Campobello, S.C., Larry E. Campbell (Margie), and Vance W. Campbell (Faye), both of Greer, S.C., Gloria (Jody) Campbell Shytle (Johnny) of Green Creek, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Sudduth Bruce of Tryon, N.C., Joyce Center Strange and Teresa (Tee) Center Williams of Landrum, S.C.; and three brother, Ansel Center, Jr. of Gastonia, N.C., Earl Center of Maryland, and Ellis Center of Landrum, S.C.
Mrs. Rogers was predeceased by a sister, Gaynell Center Turner, and six brothers, Milton Sudduth, Wilton (Bud) Sudduth, Wilford Sudduth, Alender (Buster) Sudduth, Doynell Center and Esley (Tate) Center.
Visitation will be held 12:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wood Mortuary.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wood Mortuary, conducted by Dr. Don McIntyre, Rev. Vince Gainey and Rev. Allen McKinney. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Williams, Kenny Campbell, Clay Campbell, Travis Campbell, Robert Moorer, Jr., and Billy McFarland.
Following the service and burial the family will be at the home of Travis Campbell, 4395 Donahue Road, Greer, S.C.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ebenezer Welcome Baptist Church Building Fund, 4005 Hwy 14, Landrum, SC 29356.
