Born in Augusta County on March 31, 1901, Mr. Brown was a son of the late William J. and Louella McCauley Brown and had made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Yount, Crimora.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Juanita Demasters, Staunton; three grandchildren; three brothers, Lee N. Brown, Crimora; W. J. Brown Jr., Dooms; and Jasper M. Brown, Dooms; and three sisters, Mrs. Katie E. Young, Crimora; Mrs. Bertha M. Pugh, Waynesboro; and Mrs. Willie A. Hubbard, Waynesboro.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Memorial Chapel of the McDow-Tyree Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. D. B. Garber. Interment will be in the Forest Chapel cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Mason L. Brown, Taylor Fisher, Cleveland Brown, Dewey Brown, Aubrey H. brown and Arthur Fisher.
