Mr. Brown was a member of the First Church of God, Waynesboro, and was employed by the Wayne Manufacturing Corp. for the past 19 years.
He was born Aug. 30, 1911, in Augusta County, a son of William J. and Louella McCauley Brown.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Hollie Yount Brown; a son Mason L. Brown, Route 1, Waynesboro; a foster son, Carl Martin at home; five daughters, Mrs. Dora Lee Musick and Mrs. Daymon Coleman, both of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Arthur Keys of Staunton, Mrs. James Lowry and Mrs. Edmund Leon Harris, both of Route 1, Waynesboro; a brother, William J. Brown Jr., Route 1, Waynesboro; one sister, Mrs Harry V. Yount of Crimora; 28 grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Church of God. Burial in Augusta Memorial Park Cemetery.
